This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of govmates, LLC (“govmates,” “our,” “us,” or “we”) regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information that we receive or collect from users of the govmates website and the services we offer through the govmates website (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies to only the information that you provide to us through the Services and does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources. This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for www.govmates.com

This published Privacy Policy is accurate, comprehensive, prominently displayed, completely implemented and accessible. If you are using the Services as a result of a separate written agreement between govmates and the entity with which you are associated, this Privacy Policy will not apply.

 

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us via our online registration form, email or other direct contact from you. govmates will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

govmates uses information we collect to operate, maintain and provide you the features and functionality of the Services, to analyze how the Service is used, diagnose service or technical problems, maintain security, personalize content, remember information to help you efficiently access your account, monitor aggregate metrics such as Services traffic and demographic patterns, and track data and users as necessary to comply with applicable laws.

By signing up, registering, or subscribing with govmates for the use of the Services, we may ask you for personally-identifiable information, which is information about you that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”), such as: your name, company or organization name, title, e-mail address, postal address, and telephone numbers. If you contact us, we may also keep a record of that correspondence or communication, including any Personal Information it contains.

We may use cookies, tracking pixels, and other similar technologies to track your activity on our Services to enhance the functionality of our Services. govmates may share your Personal Information with other third parties for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This may include sponsors, training partners, and ecosystem resources.

govmates accepts various forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, or other forms of compensation, including for referrals.  govmates and/or members of the govmates team may also have an equity or other beneficial interest in the advertisers, sponsors and/or referral partners that we utilize.

The compensation received by govmates may influence the advertising content, topics, or posts made on our website or the referrals that we make. The content, advertising space, or post may not always be identified as paid or sponsored content, although we will take efforts to be in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission guidelines for disclosure of content provided as part of a material business relationship where appropriate. In addition, govmates may utilize advertising networks or affiliate programs to bring you products or services for which you may have an interest.

govmates may disclose your Personal Information if required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect govmates’ rights or property.

We reserve the right to transfer any and all information that we collect from users, including Personal Information, to a third-party in connection with or in the event of any corporate reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfers, or other disposition of all or any portion of govmates’ business, assets, or stock (including as part of a bankruptcy proceeding).

We may disclose your non-private, aggregated, statistical, and other non-personally identifiable information with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling, and other purposes. Any aggregated and statistical information shared in these contexts will not contain Personal Information or individual sequence samples.

If you decide to invite a third party to create an account, we will collect your and the third party’s names and e-mail addresses in order to send an e-mail and follow up with the third party. We rely upon you to obtain whatever consents from the third party that may be required by law to allow us to access and upload the third party’s names and e-mail addresses as required above. You or the third party may contact us at matchmaker@govmates.com to request the removal of this information from our database.

 Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may, of course, decline to submit Personal Information through the Services, in which case govmates may not be able to provide certain services to you. You may update, correct or delete your account information at any time by logging in to your account or by contacting us. If you completely delete all such information, then your account may become deactivated. If you would like us to delete your account in our system, please contact us at matchmaker@govmates.com with a request that we delete your Personal Information from our database. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request. We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Unless you tell us otherwise by “opting out”, govmates may also contact you regarding products and services you use or that may be of interest to you. You can exercise your right to prevent such contact by contacting us at matchmaker@govmates.com. You may not, however, opt out of necessary service or account maintenance notices or other administrative and transactional notices. govmates reserves the right to delete a profile for any reason.

• See what data we have about you, if any.
• Change/correct any data we have about you.
• Have us delete any data we have about you.
• Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We maintain reasonable precautions to protect the security, integrity, and privacy of your Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We utilize commercially accepted security equipment, techniques, third party service providers, and procedures to control, monitor and record access to any facility containing Information. No security technology or procedures, however, can protect against 100% of all possible attacks and you acknowledge this fact by your use or continued use of the Services. Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we will not use or intentionally disclose any Personal Information about you to any unaffiliated third parties without your consent.

This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time as we add new features and services, as laws change, and as privacy and security practices evolve. Notice will be provided on the Services of any major changes govmates makes to this Privacy Policy regarding use or disclosure of Personal Information. Small changes and changes that do not significantly affect individual privacy interests may be made at any time without notification. Any changes to our Privacy Policy will become effective upon our posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the Services. Use of the Services following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy then in effect.
